Limitations[edit | edit source]
Modding for this version of the game is limited to replacing existing files. Custom code (such as LUA code) cannot be executed, making most custom logic impossible. However, some mods have made attempts to work around this limitation by abusing certain default game logic - such as adding additional events to a monster's animation file. This could result in, for example, an enemy firing two projectiles instead of one.

Description
Every story has its good and bad side. Biblical plot about Isaac and his father Abraham inspire people all over the world, and it is reiterated in a new arcade that is called The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth new part. The basic story was changed a lot, and it doesn’t seem to be too plausible. The scenario is simple: there is a little boy and his mother. Isaac is a usual playful kid, and he has typical for an average child hobbies. His peaceful life was interrupted by his mother, who believes that she hears the God’s voice. She is a religious woman, and watches programs of corresponding content. We don’t know, whether this voice really belongs to God, or Isaac’s mother is just mentally ill. Nevertheless, she takes a big kitchen knife and aspires to her son’s room. He sees the approaching end of his life, but he doesn’t want to die, so he finds the hatchway to basement. He believed that he would be safe in that place, but it is even more dangerous than in his room. Here he hinds plenty of monsters, even creepy poop, and he has to fight with all of them. What weapon can have a desperate little child? At first he can use only his tears, but that seems enough for this challenge.
Isaac finds many rooms underground, and each of them contains something very strange. He finds his dead brother and sister, and they are deformed by years of deadly dream. He sets his soul to devil, so that they could be alive again and help him in his daily struggle. At first we are sympathetic to this poor kid, but later on, when he transforms thanks to various artifacts and treasures, we see absolutely other kid, or even sometimes not a human at all, and we think that the voice was right, and the boy should have been killed. Every fight gives him something special, be it coins to buy things in store, artifacts to get super powers, or keys to get into treasury. If you are tired of being Isaac, there are ten other characters that you may play with, but make sure that are unlocked. There are more than one hundred enemies and fifty bosses, and you will have to cope with all of them.
