  • Mar 06, 2012 I think Don had an Okuma a while back that had a 5000 control and it used a Fanuc AC spindle drive. As I mentioned before, some machines with 5000 controls use DC spindle drives and some use AC. The DC ones are Okuma, as are later AC ones. They must have used Fanuc drives during some transition period.
