Sada2017

The twenty-first edition of the Rainforest World Music Festival has been showcasing world-class talents and entertainment for a long time in the mythical island of Borneo. This year, new attractions and an expanded venue for even more activities, entertainment, and fun are scheduled for a better festival experience.

With artists from Asia, the Pacific, Europe, North America, South America, and Africa, the Rainforest World Music Festival will take place at Sarawak Cultural Village and Damai Central from 13 to 15 July 2018. Within the main Festival grounds, Sarawak Cultural Village will host the Jungle and Tree stage. And at Damai Central, Tent Stage will provide a platform for emerging local bands to perform before an international audience.

Pop-up performances and cultural snippets will also take place throughout the festival, with intermittent traditional performances taking place in the traditional houses throughout the grounds as well as parades and surprise performances. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to the wellness and lifestyle classes in 2017, they will be back and better than ever, with activities such as tai chi, yoga, line dancing, pilates, wushu, zumba, and many more.

Mini sessions and workshops are also back in action, with small interactive performances for a more intimate and educational experience for festival-goers while children’s sessions take place as well, with educational and fitness activities targeted for children. A stellar line up of local and international talent is set to take stage, with local Sarawak bands such as Sada Borneo and At Adau as well as SwarAsia Malaysia.
