Fast transfers, automated production management, full reporting, rugged design and a compact size make the Vault the hub of any on-set or near-set file based workflow. The Vault supports digital cinema cameras made by ARRI, Sony, Canon, RED and other industry leaders. It is a standalone solution requiring no external drives or processing. The Vault is designed for ease of use on-set or near-set. An administrator (post supervisor, DIT, digital asset manager) can design an entire workflow at the beginning of a production – designating what tasks will be performed in which order and controlling who has access to various operations. Because the workflow has been set up in advance, the operator on-set doesn’t need any specialized knowledge. The administrator can set up the Vault so that the operator simply loads the media from the camera and is then guided through the tasks required. The operator can be blocked from, for example, deleting any camera original data until tape archives have been made and verified.
